About Eden Blooms
Hi, I’m Shelly, Creative Director and owner of Eden Blooms Floral Design. Inspired by nature, the seasons and beautiful, elegant, floral styling.
I’ve had the pleasure of spending the last 10 years working as a wedding and event florist for Eden Blooms, working on over 400 weddings during this time. 2022 saw me achieve a long-held dream and I’m now the proud owner of the business. I couldn’t be more delighted and excited for all the wonderful weddings to come.
I’m mother to Zack and Evie, my joys. They inspire me to flourish and do the job that I adore. When I’m not flowering weddings with my team, you will find me helping them to pursue their dreams; either on the side lines or at the stables. Given the opportunity, with a Flat White in hand!
I’m at my happiest in my studio, listening to a podcast. Jay Shetty, Fearne Cotton and Girlflower are amongst my favourites. Failing those, I’m a Radio 1 listener through and through. Live music has my heart. More summer festivals are most definitely on my life list! Glamping at Glastonbury. Watching the Killers perform, sun setting behind the pyramid stage was a ‘moment’. Life is most definitely for living!
When I’m not meeting with clients or flowering a uniquely special day, I will be in Cornwall. Quite probably with a glass of blush sauvignon or ice cold Cornish cider, quietly appreciating the sea view and in winter, cosied up by the log burner with a glass or red, always.
It’s been known on other occasions. To have been found, desperately clinging onto a surf board. It’s a skill I’m yet to master. Work in progress!
My parents call the fishing village of Porthleven home and it’s where we spend as much time as we can as a family. A morning run along the cliffs, soaking up the breath-taking coastal scenery is the perfect start to any day.
As a creative, I’m in my element with interior design. Zara Home, Anthropologie and Neptune are a must for my styling inspiration. A distinct lover of Parisian fashion, Sezanne is my brand of choice.
Above all though it’s always been about flowers. Ask me to name a favourite… it’s impossible to do so. However, nothing beats the scent of the flower studio in summer. Stocks, Sweet Peas, Garden Roses, scented Geranium & Basil. It’s divine.
It’s a huge privilege to be working with clients who share the same appreciation of luxurious blooms. To be immersed in the creativity, the planning, implementation and execution of a client’s floral vision, is what truly makes my heart sing.
Shelly x
